From September, maybe, when the last update of windows came I had to face many problems. My current laptop is not that up to date. So the latest updates of windows started to show that effect. It crashed several times a day. I was so frustrated.
From the beginning of my programming journey, I had to learn and get associated with Linux. I have experiences with more than 27 distros (distributions) of Linux, such as Ubuntu, KDE Neon, Elementary Os, Kali, Parrot, Pop OS, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, etc. I also have the experiences of working with different desktop environments used by these operating systems, like gnome mate, cinnamon, KDE Plasma, Xfce, etc. Among all I personally had a soft corner for KDE plasma. (KDE Plasma is almost look-alike of Windows.) Because it is highly easily customizable than others. I have run all these Linux operating systems through virtual machines on my windows laptop. But they have never disappointed me. Last year around March or April I started using live Linux systems. This essentially means, that rather than using the system which is installed in the memory of the computer, the computer will boot from the flash memory I choose and when I eject the USB drive it will exit out the system and shuts down. This may sound incomplete or make no sense to you but you can watch a YouTube video on that which will make things more clear to you. Then the last December I installed Linux with windows as dual boot. But that made no sense. So finally I ditched windows and fully installed Ubuntu Linux on my laptop. Peace right? Wait a minute!! I just told I loved Kde Plasma than why Ubuntu, a gnome desktop environment? Well, I should have installed Kde neon or Kubuntu, right?

Yes, but that is
until in my land, Bangladesh the Ubuntu community is far more strong
and that is true not only for my country, it’s true for the world.
Ubuntu has a large and stable community which is really helpful.

Now comes the
question why is community so important? Look we live in society, we
are social creature,...crap! The real reason is there might be some
things which you don’t know about the system or something is not
working, then you go search the web and found no solution,
communities come to help at these situations. Whenever you need help
the community is there to ensure that!
So now the question arises that should you switch to Linux?
So now the question arises that should you switch to Linux?
I am showing some reasons below, if you think these are cool and find these things kinda important, then you should switch to Linux.
REASONS TO SWITCH TO LINUX:
$> We all love free things!
It's free. Yeah, it's totally free. Windows is not free you have to pay a certain amount of money to get some extra features. But we maximum of the time use the crack version. Which makes us a kind of criminal by law. Why should you be? Rather use Linux to be free, as it is free and its aim is to give freedom.
$> Stable means stable.!
Stability is in the blood of Linux, I mean not literately but yes. If you are like me, a Windows user you know this very well. You are working on a project for the last 7 hours at-a-stretch and you have came to end and now you are heading to save it and... Windows crashes! A bloody blue screen with some weird codes telling us the error in a language we don't understand. Everything you have been working so hard is gone! Linux is as stable as earth. And that's why most of the servers on which the internet is standing, is running straight 30-40 years on a stretch without shutting off. This is only possible only because of Linux. And updating your systems is a mess if you are on Windows. But on Linux, it's as smooth as butter. And it happens behind your back. That means you can work on your work when the computer is updating.
$> Easy-peasy!
Many people still think Linux is old and it's not that user-friendly. But the matter of fact is, it is the total opposite right now. Linux is most intuitive and user friendly. Want an example? Take your hands to your pocket. Found your android phone? Yes! That android is also built on top of Linux. Even IOS is using Linux's stepfather Unix (excuse the relationship, it's not like that). But essentially Linux is the most user friendly. And nowadays many organizations are working on making Linux more intuitive and easy. It's easier than your Windows. Installing Linux on any system is as easy as eating dinner.
$> No need for work!
As the day goes on automating things is becoming more mainstream. Everything is almost done by computers so that humans can chill. And the truth is automation is standing on Linux. Linux gives you the superpower of automating almost everything. So technically most of your time will not be wasted on hefty jobs.
$> Growing every day
And as a matter of fact, the community and developers around the world is working hard along without even getting paid properly. It's evolving every day and at a fast pace. It's worthy enough.
$> Can wear many hats
Okay, a little bit of transparency time. Linux is just a kernel. The kernel is the code that talks to hardware (it's not as easy as it sounds, it takes more than that). So the interface or the desktop environment is pre-added to a Linux system. There are different desktop environments, like Gnome, mate Kde, Xfce etc. And the different organizations bring their own Linux system with different desktop environments. Like Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an organization that provides with Linux OS named "Ubuntu OS". Ubuntu Os comes with Gnome as a desktop environment. There are Kubuntu and Kde which comes with KDE plasma. You will find more such Linux Os if you just google it. Then see their pictures and see how they feel and then decide which is better for you.
$> Mom like programming
Linux is the home( actually both Unix and Linux) for programming. It has been the origin of operating systems ( I mean that's a figure of speech). If you just hover on the internet, all the high-archy officials use Linux to code on. It's like the fact that you can use both Instagram and Instagram Lite but using Instagram is swifter and smoother than using Instagram Lite. It may not be the best analogy but you get the fact, right?
$> Even errors are helpful
Remember I told you about the blue screen error message before? Yes, those error message which is written in a different language we don't understand. Well, in the case of Linux, if there is a problem the system will prompt the exact problem. And then when you search that message, you will find the exact solution to the problem from the web by the community.
So are you convinced?
I will suggest something. If you are a fan of how windows look but think the rest of the windows is trash, go for Kde Linux. If you wanna feel like Mac is your favourite then go for Ubuntu or Elementary Os (maybe Elementary be the go). But if you are neutral of those, go for Ubuntu or Pop Os.
Let me know in the comments.
And tell me should I make a proper video on YouTube describing a more friendly way? ( I am way comfortable speaking rather than writing things)
Thank you.
